2nd Generation [2G]

Wu-Tang Clan, Junior M.A.F.I.A, N.W.A. What do each of these groups have in common? They all made a change in Hip-Hop and that’s exactly what 2nd Generation, also known as 2G, is planning to do to the Hip-Hop game. Another thing these groups have in common is that none of them were able to last, which are exactly the steps that 2G do not want to follow in. They all plan to stick around in the Hip-Hop community and expand their brand for a very long time, leaving a lasting impression on the world. With Sha’ir, three young artists who do more than rap, their poetic words tell a story others can relate to. Their three very different styles blend and collide to create the perfect storm. Kena Love, the first lady of 2G, who has more pressure to succeed than ever being a female in a male dominated world without being overly sexy just to stand out. Her lyrics are powerful and she can battle any male in the game and stand on her own two feet. Don’t underestimate the young rap artist Luke D. Throw him in the jungle, and he’ll come out stronger than a lion’s roar. His flow switches up on every song and you can feel the hunger he has for this art we call “rap”. He carries confidence, which many lack, no matter if he’s freestyling or talking about love. Watch out for Luke D. 2G as a whole has potential to become great, if not one of the greatest. Their drive and ambition, along with their love for music, can take them far in this sometimes lack luster hip-hop game.
